Press Release: Public debate on Results of a Survey on Readership (Word / PDF)

The Book Platform project and the National Publishers Association of Armenia invite you to a public debate on the "Results of a Survey on Readership" that will take place

on the 19^th June 2013
from 11:00 to 13:00 h and a reception
at the National Children Library
named after Knho Aper Teryan 24/1, Yerevan

The first comprehensive study results of reading will be presented and discussed raising various issues on the development of public opinion on reading,readers' preferences and their attitude and habits to reading, as well as on the current state of reading and its improvement. The study was carried out in the period October-December 2012 by an external sociological service company chosen by the National Publishers Association of Armenia via a tender procedure. It consisted of focus group discussions and a quantitative survey covering a representative sample of the Armenian population.

THE BOOK PLATFORM PROJECT assists in developing skills, in building international networks and in creating smart policies for creating an environment for a healthy, sustainable and open book culture in three countries of the EU Neighborhood Policy – Armenia, Georgia and Ukraine. It is a project of the Next Page Foundation in cooperation with the National Publishers Association (Armenia), the Georgian Book Publishers Association (Georgia) and the Publishers' Forum (Ukraine), supported by Eastern Partnership Culture Programme of the EU.
