Book Platform at Europe Day in Armenia Info fair
From the booth entitled "Culture" the National Publishers Association of Armenia presented the Book Platform project at the Europe Day in Armenia Info Fair,
organized by the European Union Delegation to Armenia. Visitors to the booth were welcomed with informational materials, the study of translation flows from Armenian into 11 other languages,
guidelines and brochures on Copyright law carried out in the framework of the project, and other project-related materials.
This year the events devoted to Europe day started on May 24 and continued until 26 May in Yerevan. During the Overnight Performance dedicated to Europe Day (24 May 2013) six artists created artwork reflecting their perception of European values. On 25 May at the Northern Avenue thousands of city residents and tourists from different countries were witnesses and participants of various cultural activities, workshops, music and dance representing Greece, Spain, France, Poland, Germany, Romania, United Kingdom and Italy. In separate booths around 70 EU-funded projects presented their efforts in various areas such as education, poverty reduction, trade, youth, culture, environment and many other areas.
This year Europe Day was marked also in Gyumri. As a part of Europe Day events, an exhibition of Overnight Performance art pieces was showcased in Gyumri. The event was accompanied by Spanish music. The head of EU Delegation to Armenia Traian Hristea welcomed the guests and the EU-supported projects present at the event.
