International Editorial Visits-Georgia will be part of the Literary Forum Dialogue 2014, organized by the Ministry of Culture and Monument Protection of Georgia. It
will take place within Tbilisi International Book Festival on May 29-31, 2014, and will welcome a group of international publishers and book professionals in Tbilisi.
Aims and Goals of the Editorial Visits:
The aim of the Editorial Visits is the promotion of both – foreign literature in Georgian translation and Georgian titles overseas. What is most important, the event will stimulate the networking between the domestic and overseas publishers.
Main Issues of the Editorial Visits:
- Trends in modern Georgian and foreign literature;
- Georgian book market;
- Foreign literature in Georgia;
- Children's literature;
- Georgian titles in translations;
- Issues in translation and promotion of Georgian literature at domestic and overseas book markets;
- Translation subsidies and issues related with translation;
- Literary translation and production of translated literature.
